We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer to join our Credit Execution team, focused on modernizing credit decisioning platforms. The role involves transforming legacy, on-premise systems into scalable, cloud-native solutions using AWS and modern engineering practices.

You will work closely with credit risk, product, and engineering teams to enhance loan decision workflows and improve platform performance. The ideal candidate brings strong backend development expertise along with experience in financial services, lending, or risk platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Modernize legacy decisioning systems to cloud-native architecture (AWS, Kubernetes)
• Design, build, and enhance rule-based/decision engine platforms
• Collaborate with business, risk, and product teams on credit workflows
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability
• Lead technical discussions and contribute to architecture decisions
• Implement DevOps practices and support CI/CD pipelines

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Java/Python backend development
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices
• Experience with decision engines/rule-based systems
• Solid understanding of data structures, APIs, and SQL/JSON
• Background in financial services, lending, or credit risk systems
• Experience in cloud migration or enterprise modernization initiatives

Nice to Have

• Experience with tools like Drools, FICO Blaze, or similar
• Exposure to dbt or modern data transformation tools

Familiarity with Agile delivery models
