Your Tasks

• Bring your knowledge and experience in the development, optimization, and operation of search engines and work on exciting new features with state-of-the-art technologies.
• Together with your team, you will ensure that our customers can find the legal information relevant to them easily and quickly.
• To this end, you will experiment with new data constellations, search algorithms, and modern technologies, e.g., in the area of language models and learning to rank.
• Together with your team, you will take responsibility for the almost completely automated operation and further development of all team-owned services.
• You will therefore invest a large part of your time in joint pair and mob programming as well as constructive code reviews.
• Every day you will spend some time simplifying and accelerating our work.

Your Profile

Our product teams work agilely and data-driven. Accordingly, you will find experts from various areas of responsibility in each of our product teams. Your primary area of responsibility is your "home base," which you use to advance your team and in which we support you in your continuous development.

We strategically use modern methods and technologies whenever it makes sense, e.g., Agile methods like Scrum and Kanban, Domain-driven Design and event-driven architectures, we develop with a strong focus on Clean Code, Testing and Security, SRE and CI/CD.

What you bring:

• You master the basic tools of professional software development through years of practice and have expertise in the field of search.
• You are not afraid of C#, Java, and Python code, Apache Solr and Lucene, Azure, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, and GitOps.
• Furthermore, you know the difference between Canary Deployments and A/B Testing, feel comfortable in pair and mob programming sessions, and know how to prepare, write, and decide on an ADR.
• Since we deal heavily with language and focus on the German-speaking market, very good German language skills are essential.
