About Our Team:

The Ad Platforms team is at the heart of Disney's advanced advertising technologies. We manage a high-performance, distributed platform that enhances ad delivery and integrates across Disney's online properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate and apply cutting-edge AI and machine learning in areas such as inventory forecasting, ad experience, and efficient ad delivery.
  • Develop and deploy novel solutions that address complex advertising issues with speed and efficiency.
  • Design and scale robust ML systems that empower core advertising platform capabilities.
  • Promote engineering excellence through best practices in code quality, system design, and reliability.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years' hands-on experience with large-scale machine learning systems.
  • Strong expertise in AI/ML technologies, mathematics, and statistical techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and numerical optimization, proficient in Python, Java, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face libraries.
  • Experience with deep learning methodologies and transformer architectures for natural language and vision tasks.
  • Knowledge of multimodal embedding techniques and LLM models such as GPT, Claude, and more.
  • A proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, data-driven team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in digital video advertising or digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with forecasting models.
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Location & Compensation:

  • Location: Santa Monica, CA, USA; Seattle, WA, USA
  • Scheduled Salary Range: Santa Monica - $171,600 to $230,100; Seattle - $179,700 to $241,000. Actual pay may vary depending on experience, skills, and geographic location.
  • Compensation package may include bonuses and long-term incentives as well as comprehensive benefits.
