Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Co-Brand Acquisitions owns channel strategy and execution for the Marriott Bonvoy American Express Co-Brand portfolio, focusing on driving aggressive new cardholder growth across Affluent and Small Business audiences. This role requires independent operation at a senior level from day one.
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
Required:
- 5+ years of digital marketing experience with a minimum of 2 years in cobrand card acquisitions.
- Hands-on ownership of Paid Search, Paid Media, and digital acquisition channels with budget and performance accountability.
- Understanding of financial services marketing regulations and co-brand compliance requirements, including managing legal and compliance reviews.
- Deep understanding of Marriott Bonvoy Loyalty program, co-brand card acquisition economics, and internal systems.
- Experience managing integrated campaigns end-to-end, including creative development and deployment.
- Strong analytical skills to translate performance data into strategic recommendations.
Preferred:
- Experience with Direct Mail execution or CEC acquisition channels.
- Exposure to card product refresh or long-range go-to-market initiatives.
- Established relationships with American Express or equivalent bank partners.
Core Work Activities
Portfolio Growth & Program Management
- Develop marketing roadmap and product growth plan to deliver acquisition goals.
- Identify target audiences and coordinate tactics for portfolio expansion.
- Drive analysis, reporting, and forecasting with internal teams and bank partners.
- Innovate marketing tactics to drive revenue and portfolio growth.
- Manage ad-hoc projects supporting Global Cards strategic goals.
Channel Strategy & Execution
- Own end-to-end acquisition strategy and performance for Digital, Paid Search, Paid Media, RAF, IVR, and other channels.
- Plan, deploy, and manage campaigns, creative, budgets, and offers.
- Monitor performance, identify issues, and lead remediation.
- Design and execute Test & Learn roadmap and apply results.
- Identify efficiency improvements via personalization and new placements.
- Optimize Bank Channel and on-property/associate card acquisition.
Integrated Marketing & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with bank partners on messaging, media strategy, and joint objectives.
- Lead go-to-market planning for new features, offers, and integrations.
- Partner with Product, Brand, Social, Legal, PR, Loyalty Marketing, and ECM teams.
- Support PR and communications for acquisition announcements.
Program Initiatives
- Contribute to program-wide updates and refreshes with channel insights and acquisition frameworks.

Work Environment
Marriott HQ supports a hybrid work environment. Headquarters-based positions are hybrid for candidates within commuting distance to Bethesda, MD; candidates outside commuting distance may be considered for remote positions.
