Job Description What is the opportunity? As the Canadian Banking (CB) “Centre of Expertise”, you will lead a high-performing team to drive revenue growth and operational excellence through data-driven client engagement and direct marketing strategies. You will champion innovation, optimize marketing processes, and ensure alignment with RBC’s client-centric vision. In this fast-paced, dynamic role, you will manage complexity, lead through change, and deliver impactful marketing campaigns that enhance client experience and business results. What will you do? Lead and resource a technical team of specialists, ensuring alignment with business priorities and fostering a collaborative, agile environment. Drive marketing transformation by optimizing campaign design, execution, and measurement, leveraging advanced analytics and CRM best practices. Partner with CB Marketing and Product teams to enhance customer-centric strategies, leveraging data insights and innovative channels. Oversee end-to-end campaign delivery, from audience profiling and modeling to execution and quality assurance, ensuring regulatory/legal/privacy compliance. Champion innovation by identifying opportunities to shorten marketing cycles, reduce costs, and improve campaign relevancy through client behavior insights. Manage resource planning and capacity constraints, collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and resolve bottlenecks. Uphold managerial excellence by developing talent, driving performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Must have: 5–7 years of advanced programming experience with SAS, SQL, and Python, including deep data and technical skills. 5+ years of people management experience, with a proven ability to lead and mentor high-performing teams. Strong understanding of data environments (Data Warehouses, Data Lakes) and marketing technology solutions (e.g., TCRM, Unica). Exceptional analytical and strategic mindset, including statistical analysis and experimental design. Agile and collaborative mindset, with experience in matrix organizations. Exceptional communication skills to translate complex insights into actionable strategies. Nice to have: Financial services industry experience, including marketing fundamentals. Requirements
