Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Marketing & Operations is a high-impact leadership role designed for an experienced professional with strong initiative and an ownership mindset. This individual will lead marketing strategy and execution while overseeing firm operations, with minimal day-to-day direction. This role is intentionally structured as a growth position, offering a clear opportunity to advance into a Director-level role and ultimately Chief Operating Officer (COO) as the firm continues to scale. As the firm expands within the next 6–12 months, this position is expected to evolve based on performance, firm growth, and leadership impact.
Key Responsibilities • Own and execute firm-wide marketing strategy to drive growth, brand awareness, and client acquisition. • Oversee digital marketing, content development, campaigns, and performance measurement. • Ensure brand consistency and messaging aligned with retirement planning and fiduciary standards. • Identify and implement new growth channels, partnerships, and initiatives. • Manage and evaluate external marketing vendors and partners. • Lead and continuously improve internal operations, workflows, and systems to support scalability. • Partner with advisors and leadership to enhance the client onboarding and service experience. • Implement tools, processes, and procedures that improve efficiency while supporting compliance requirements. • Track operational KPIs and proactively address risks, inefficiencies, and bottlenecks. • Align marketing, advisory, and administrative functions for smooth execution. • Act as a self-directed leader who identifies needs and executes solutions without waiting for instruction. • Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans with measurable outcomes. • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on operational efficiency and growth strategy. • Build a culture of accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications • 8–12+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management, or retirement planning. • Experience leading both marketing and operations, preferably in a growing or entrepreneurial firm. • Demonstrated success operating independently with limited oversight. • Strong understanding of financial services marketing and operational compliance. • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability. • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
