The role sits within the Microsoft Gaming Integrated and International Communications team, championing player‑first storytelling and innovative communications that serve passionate players across Blizzard, Activision, and Xbox globally.

Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end regional communications strategy and execution across LATAM and Canada, ensuring player‑first, culturally resonant storytelling aligned to global direction and regional business priorities.
  • Lead launch and live‑service momentum communications for Blizzard franchises, balancing long‑lead strategic planning with short‑lead opportunities tied to seasons, live ops, in‑game updates, events, and cultural moments.
  • Operate with autonomy in high‑ambiguity, fast‑moving environments, exercising sound judgment and adjusting plans as priorities evolve.
  • Develop and execute integrated communications campaigns and storytelling platforms that elevate franchise narratives and deepen engagement across diverse markets.
  • Shape and approve core messaging and press materials, including press releases, Q&As, talking points, reactive statements, and spokesperson briefs.
  • Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with priority enthusiast and mainstream media, key creators, and influential community voices across Latin America and Canada.
  • Serve as a strategic cross‑functional partner to marketing, publishing, production, studio leadership, and legal teams to align messaging, timing, and execution.
  • Lead and direct PR and creator agencies, setting strategy, priorities, and expectations while ensuring accountability and delivery against goals.
  • Plan, allocate, and optimize regional communications budget and investments, including forecasting, spend tracking, and evaluating ROI across programs and markets.
  • Drive measurement, insights, and reporting, translating performance data into clear recommendations that inform future strategy and planning.
  • Represent regional communications strategy and performance confidently in regional, international, and cross‑functional leadership forums.
  • Support travel as needed, including periodic travel to the United States and other regions for planning sessions, team events, and key launch moments.

Minimum Requirements

  • 13+ years of experience in communications, PR, or media relations, with demonstrated ownership of regional or multi‑market communications strategy.
  • Proven experience supporting entertainment, gaming, technology, or consumer brands, ideally within fan‑driven or community‑led ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of LATAM and Canadian media and creator landscapes, with experience operating across culturally diverse markets.
  • Track record of leading launch and live‑service communications in complex, fast‑paced environments.
  • Ability to set strategy, prioritize work, and make decisions independently while staying aligned to global direction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting clear, compelling narratives for multiple audiences.
  • Experience managing agencies and vendors across multiple markets, including performance evaluation and budget accountability.
  • Data‑driven mindset, with experience using insights and reporting to optimize communications impact.
  • Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and comfort managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English required; Portuguese and Spanish proficiency a strong plus.

Compensation

In the U.S., the standard base‑pay range for this role is $105,120 – $194,400 Annual. The specific range and offer will be based on experience, performance, and work location, and may include incentive compensation.
