Ambu A/S is currently looking for Senior Managers to lead teams of NPD Project Managers to join our Respiratory & ENT and EndoIntelligence solutions team in Global R&D. We have two positions open:
- Senior Manager of Project Management, Respiratory and ENT Solutions
- Senior Manager of Project Management, EndoIntelligence Solutions

Key responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead and develop a team of new product development (NPD) Project Managers, focusing on performance, growth, and capability building.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high performing project management team culture.
- Set direction and support prioritization in accordance with Ambu strategy.
- Support and optimize project management standards and best practices for NPD projects.
- Coordinate alignment, improvements, and initiatives impacting across NPD projects.
- Ensure clear expectations, alignment, and effective collaboration across functions and projects.
- Draft plans for new NPD projects, occasionally initiate new projects as acting project manager, substitute for temporary lack of project managers, ensure effective assignment of project managers to NPD projects and initiatives.
Suggested candidate profile
Skill and experience can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you:
- Hold a degree in engineering and have technical work experience that will support decision-making and challenges during new product development
- Carry solid experience within Medical Device project management and come with a broad project management skillset and toolbox
- Are familiar with having a globally based project team and supplier base
- Are curious, open-minded and have great interpersonal skills
- Are committed, structured and have an intense sense of responsibility towards your work and your team members
- Possess strong leadership skills and experience with people leadership
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is required
Senior Manager of Project Management, Respiratory and ENT Solutions
This role requires deep understanding of medical device development, with a strong emphasis on mechanical design, camera and imaging technologies, and device integration. The manager must be fluent in how physical components, optics, electronics, and materials come together in single‑use devices, and how these design choices impact manufacturability, cost, reliability, and clinical performance.
Senior Manager of Project Management, EndoIntelligence Solutions
This role requires strong competence in integrated hardware and software solution development for medical devices, with experience managing development programs that span devices, platforms, and software ecosystems. The manager must understand software development lifecycles, system integration, and platform thinking, and how these interact with underlying hardware. Experience with AI‑enabled solutions, data‑driven development, or intelligent systems is a strong advantage.
