Senior Manager - Product Management - Freight & Forwarding Services

As a Senior Product Manager for the Freight Forwarding Operating System at Wayfair Inc., you will lead the development of an end-to-end supply chain operating system aimed at empowering customers to make better, faster supply chain decisions with confidence. Your strong product management background and deep understanding of the freight forwarding industry will be crucial in defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. • *Responsibilities:** - Define and drive the product strategy for the end-to-end supply chain operating system, focusing on modules related to shipment management, customs brokerage, and financial settlement. - Gather insights from external users to inform feature development and prioritization, including understanding customer needs around consolidation strategies, insurance, and compliance. - Develop and own the product roadmap, prioritizing high-impact features that streamline the end-to-end shipment lifecycle management. - Collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions. - Stay informed about emerging trends in user experience, decision automation, applied AI/LLMs, and intelligent workflow platforms. - Ensure the freight forwarding platform delivers an intelligent, usable, and responsive experience for customers. • *Requirements:** - 7+ years of product management experience in delivering complex enterprise SaaS or AI-powered platforms. - Experience in international freight forwarding operations, including core workflows like quoting, booking, documentation, customs clearance, and tracking. - Ability to work with engineers and Design to create interfaces for supply chain users. - Strong communication skills to translate technical complexity into clear narratives. - Deep knowledge of multi-modal transportation and factors affecting carrier selection. • *Desired Qualifications:** - Experience in supply chain or operational decision systems within the logistics or freight forwarding space. - Familiarity with freight forwarding software, transportation management systems, or other enterprise platforms used by logistics professionals. - Knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance standards.
