Join Collins Aerospace and play a key role in shaping the future of air traffic surveillance within our Air Traffic Systems Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) portfolio. We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management of our Secondary Surveillance Radar product line, including Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar (MSSR) systems. This role supports technologies that are critical to air traffic management, airspace safety, and the modernization of global surveillance capabilities, helping customers meet evolving operational and regulatory demands.
In this position, you will translate customer needs, market insights, and industry requirements into product direction and long term strategy while guiding products through their full lifecycle from concept through sustainment. You will partner closely with engineering, program teams, business development, supply chain, and customers to drive product development, investment decisions, and business outcomes. The role also includes supporting customer engagement activities, monitoring market and regulatory trends, and serving as a key voice for the product across the organization. Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management activities for the Secondary Surveillance Radar product portfolio, including Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar (MSSR) systems
- Define and prioritize product requirements based on customer needs, market trends, and evolving regulatory standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support feature development, technology enhancements, and product design decisions
- Develop business cases and support product investment, pricing, forecasting, and strategic planning activities
- Manage product lifecycle activities from concept through sustainment, including obsolescence planning and end of life strategies
- Support customer engagement efforts through proposal development, product presentations, demonstrations, and participation in industry events
- Evaluate market conditions, competitive offerings, and industry developments to support product strategy and positioning
- Serve as a product subject matter expert and provide guidance to internal teams and customer stakeholders
- Partner with cross functional teams including engineering, program management, business development, and supply chain to support successful product execution
- Support the development and advancement of solutions that contribute to air traffic management, surveillance modernization, and airspace safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Experience with radar systems, surveillance technologies, or air traffic management solutions
- 5+ years of experience in product management, systems engineering, program management, or related roles
- Demonstrated experience owning or supporting product-level P&L, including financial forecasting, margin and cost analysis, business case development, and pricing strategy
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical, communication, and customer engagement skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts into market-driven product direction
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related technical field
- Experience specifically with Secondary Surveillance Radar (Mode S, ADS-B, multilateration)
- Familiarity with global regulatory/standards bodies (FAA, ICAO, Eurocontrol, EASA)
- Prior work in aerospace, defense, aviation infrastructure, or high‑reliability, mission-critical systems

- Salary range: 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD
