Senior Manager, Product Strategy & Operations

ParetoHealth

Philadelphia · Hybrid Full-time Senior Yesterday

About the role

We’re in this for the greater good at ParetoHealth. Our mission is collective greatness, nothing less will do. Our team is a single force united in the drive to transform employee health benefits.

The company was founded in 2011 to help small and medium-sized businesses fight the rising cost of employee health benefits. We blazed the trail with financing innovations that reduce the risks in self-insurance and deliver significant savings—and we continue to lead with a growing ecosystem of partners and world-class cost control solutions.

But success is measured by more than dollars alone and we measure ours by the good that comes from knowing that every client and all their employees can count on effective, affordable healthcare for years to come.

Please note that ParetoHealth does not provide employment visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship both now or in the future.

Position Summary

As Pareto continues to scale, we're expanding our product portfolio, which will include the development of new alternative funding solutions. We are seeking a Senior Manager, Product Strategy & Operations to build and run the operating system that powers disciplined execution, strong partner performance, and scalable growth for the new solutions.

This individual will serve as the internal integrator for a new Pareto product — translating strategy into cross-functional execution across underwriting, partner management, onboarding, client management, renewals, and governance. This is not a back-office operations role.

What You’ll Own

Build the Product Operating System

  • Design and implement scalable workflows across underwriting, onboarding, renewals, customer and partner operations.
  • Establish governance cadence (SteerCo, OKRs, dashboards, decision logs).
  • Improve operational visibility and reduce friction as the business scales.
  • Ensure infrastructure supports 2–3x growth without operational instability.

Lead Operational Partner Management

  • Serve as day-to-day operational counterpart to TPAs and stop-loss carriers.
  • Run structured performance reviews and escalation processes.
  • Maintain accountability to service expectations and contractual mechanics.
  • Ensure operational readiness for new partner launches.

Translate Expansion into Execution

  • Own rollout plans for new TPAs, stop-loss carriers, markets, and program enhancements.
  • Align underwriting, commercial, product, operations, and finance stakeholders.
  • Identify risks early and drive resolution.
  • Deliver clean, on-time implementation of approved initiatives.

What Success Looks Like (12–18 Months)

  • The new product solutions operate through defined systems, not tribal knowledge.
  • Cross-functional teams execute with clarity and accountability.
  • Partner relationships are structured, disciplined, and proactive.
  • Expansion initiatives launch cleanly and predictably.
  • Growth does not introduce operational instability.

What You Bring

  • Experience building operating infrastructure in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • 7-10 years in health plan operations, level-funded, stop-loss, MGU, or adjacent risk-based environments.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence without authority.
  • Credible fluency in level-funded mechanics and stop-loss dynamics.
  • Experience managing TPA and/or carrier operational relationships.
  • High attention to detail with a bias for disciplined execution.
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Why This Role Matters

The new alternate funding solutions will require disciplined infrastructure and cross-functional coordination. This role ensures that growth decisions translate into scalable, reliable execution and long-term operational strength.

Perks & Benefits

  • Fully paid medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Flexible PTO
  • 401k company contribution
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Professional development allowance
  • Transportation allowance and daily parking reimbursement
  • Engaging hybrid work environment
