We are searching for the best talent to join our MedTech Procurement Team as a Senior Manager - Supply Chain Procurement, PMO in Zug, Switzerland.
Purpose
You will focus on evolving the overall approach and program management for continuous improvement initiatives to optimize direct material costs and overall product COGS within MedTech’s Surgery Business Unit.
The purpose of this position is to manage and advance continuous improvement projects in close collaboration with supply chain procurement teams and key cross-functional parties to ensure projects in execution are delivered on time and in full, to shape and deploy new value creation strategies fueling a robust pipeline and to continue to evolve E2E orchestration and portfolio optimization ways of working in collaboration with Supply Chain. This responsibility includes the need for strong engagement with internal stakeholders and robust connection with our key external partners.
Responsibilities
- Program management of the overall source cost improvement program in collaboration with the Supply Chain Procurement team and cross‐functional Supply Chain teams
- Shaping and deploying value creation strategies for MedTech Surgery (e.g. market engagement approaches by platform, dual sourcing, supplier network strategies, localization) together with Supply Chain Procurement
- Driving end‐to‐end portfolio management by engaging with E2E Supply Chain to shift from a functional to an E2E view, accelerating value creation and optimizing resources
- Evolving the ideation process and sustaining a value delivery pipeline across short‐, mid‐, and long‐term horizons in collaboration with E2E Supply Chain
- Refreshing and maintaining program governance in alignment with E2E Supply Chain to enable business results, continuous acceleration, and value protection
- Managing portfolio performance through data and analytics, including performance tracking, scorecards, and financial reporting in line with the financial calendar
- Orchestrating and aligning resources to support program and initiative execution while ensuring E2E accountability from ideation through delivery
- Leading and supporting project reviews, ideation sessions, and regular updates to Supply Chain and Procurement leadership teams (e.g. presentations, reporting, data, and analytics)
- Driving continuous improvement through process harmonization, digitization, change management, and effective communication
- Building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships across Johnson & Johnson to enable dynamic dialogue and advance value delivery
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Science required; a Master’s degree is preferred
- 8–10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably both in (Procurement experience is a must) and outside Procurement and in similar sectors/industries
- Strong program management experience across supply chain functional pillars, including management of end‐to‐end project portfolios
- Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to manage for impact in a complex, global matrix environment
- Experience collaborating across multiple functional partners (e.g. Source, R&D, Quality, LCM) and engaging effectively with E2E Supply Chain organizations
- Ability to work independently, lead through complexity, take ownership of deliverables, and thrive in fast‐paced, deadline‐driven environments
- Proven capability to build relationships and negotiate value‐enhancing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders across global geographies; willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally
- Experience working within MedTech or FMCG / Healthcare/Pharmaceutical or similarly regulated companies
- Experience with digital solutions for program or portfolio management is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with strong presentation and organizational capabilities
