About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our innovative industrial operations in Ado‑Ekiti, Ekiti, NG. This role operates on a hybrid basis, combining essential on‑site presence with the flexibility of remote work. You will play a critical role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and reducing costs across our production lines. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing new manufacturing methods and technologies, analyzing production data to identify areas for improvement, and troubleshooting production issues to ensure smooth operations. You will also be involved in process validation, equipment selection and installation, and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Collaboration with quality assurance, product development, and maintenance teams is essential to ensure that manufacturing processes meet quality standards and production targets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC). Experience with automation and robotics in an industrial setting is a significant advantage. We are looking for a results‑oriented individual with excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills. A proven ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and technical staff is also required. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes and production systems.
  • Analyze production performance data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Design, test, and validate new manufacturing equipment and technologies.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all production processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production‑related issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure product quality standards are met.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost‑benefit analyses for new manufacturing projects.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff and junior engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (required).
    • Master’s degree (a plus).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on process improvement and optimization (required).
    • Experience in a specific relevant industry (e.g., automotive, electronics, consumer goods) would be beneficial.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC).
    • Experience with automation and robotics in an industrial setting (significant advantage).
