Job Title: Senior Maximo Developer/Administrator (Hybrid)

Location: Airports Authority Corporate Headquarters, Arlington, VA, AND Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), Sterling, VA

Duration: 06 Months with possible extension

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maximo Developer & Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 9) environment. This role is a hybrid of system administration and technical development, with a specific focus on complex integrations and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) workflows. You will manage the full lifecycle of Maximo applications, from Red Hat OpenShift container management to custom automation scripting.

Maximo System Development and Configuration:

The Contractor shall:

• Conduct workshops with stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirements. • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical solution designs. • Design, develop, configure, and implement technical solutions within IBM Maximo MAS 9. • Configure system components including workflows, security groups, domains, escalations, and application configurations. • Administer and maintain the Maximo environment within the Red Hat OpenShift containerized platform. • Collaborate with vendors to support and customize applications utilizing the EDI Strategic Asset Management (eSAM) framework.

System Administration:

The Contractor shall:

• Serve as the Tier 3 technical lead for resolving complex system issues and performance problems. • Manage configuration and administration of Maximo environments across Development, Test, and Production systems. • Support Maximo system upgrades, patches, and implementation of new MAS 9 features. • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve IBM Maximo system issues for end users, ensuring compliance with MWAA incident response and resolution SLAs. • Develop automation scripts using Jython/Python within Maximo. • Perform customizations using Maximo Business Objects (MBOs) and Application Designer. • Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to support system deployments and operational stability. • Administer and support IMB Maximo EAM with a focus on Transportation, Flee, and Facilities assets. • Provide other system support or perform other Maximo administrative duties as may be required.

System Integration and Interface Development:

The Contractor shall:

• Design and implement integrations between Maximo and enterprise systems including Workday, GIS platforms, and IoT systems. • Develop and maintain integrations using the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF). • Configure and manage interfaces utilizing REST APIs, SOAP services, JMS messaging, and OSLC standards. • Support enterprise data exchange through inbound and outbound integration services. • Ensure reliable data synchronization, messaging integrity, and operational continuity across integrated platforms. • Support integration requirements for mobile field systems and offline data capabilities where applicable.

Troubleshooting and Production Support:

The Contractor shall:

• Investigate and resolve production issues affecting Maximo applications and integrations. • Perform root cause analysis of system failures and performance issues. • Implement corrective actions and recommend sustainable solutions. • Maintain system performance and stability across all supported environments. • Provide escalation support for complex technical issues affecting operational systems.

Technical Documentation:

The Contractor shall develop and maintain technical documentation including:

• Integration documentation • System configuration documentation • Architecture updates where applicable • Incident resolution documentation for major system issues

Required Qualifications

The Contractor shall provide personnel meeting the following minimum qualifications.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum 7 years of technical experience implementing and supporting IBM Maximo solutions. • Experience supporting IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8/9) environments. • Strong knowledge of Maximo architecture including MBOs, workflows, domains, and database configuration. • Experience developing Automation Scripts (Jython/Python). • Experience supporting Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) including REST/SOAP services. • Experience with Java, SQL, and Git. • Demonstrated expertise configuring Maximo modules including Work Orders, Assets, Inventory, and Purchasing. • Experience implementing and supporting Maximo BIRT reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Maximo industry solutions such as Utilities, Transportation, or Service Provider editions. • IBM Certified Deployment Professional – Maximo Asset Management. • Experience implementing Maximo Mobile or Graphite-based mobile solutions. • Experience with EDI Strategic Asset Management (eSAM).
