Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is actively searching for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative product development team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to cutting-edge projects. You will be instrumental in the design, development, and testing of new mechanical systems and components, from conceptualization through to production. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, advanced CAD software proficiency, and a proven ability to solve complex design challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists, to bring new products to life. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating successful design projects and a passion for creating high-quality, efficient, and reliable mechanical solutions. Key responsibilities include:Conceptualizing, designing, and developing new mechanical components and systems using CAD software. Performing stress analysis, thermal analysis, and other simulations to validate designs. Creating detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation. Collaborating with manufacturing partners to ensure designs are optimized for production. Troubleshooting and resolving design issues during prototype testing and production phases. Conducting design reviews and providing technical guidance to junior engineers. Staying current with emerging technologies and design methodologies. Managing multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of milestones. Working closely with the R&D team to explore innovative design solutions. Contributing to the continuous improvement of design processes and tools. Qualifications:Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and product development. Expert proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor) and FEA tools. Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and geometric tolerancing. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Proven ability to manage projects and work effectively in a remote team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with rapid prototyping techniques is a plus.
