The morning starts with a cup of coffee and a design that isn't quite right yet. You open your CAD model and immediately see where it can be improved. Not just more aesthetically pleasing, but smarter. Fewer parts, lower costs, higher reliability.

As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, you work on complex installations that are essential for the production of microchips. Not standard machines, but custom solutions that must function with micron-level precision. You translate customer wishes into concrete designs and constantly think about how to make them better.

You liaise with colleagues from different disciplines: from process engineers to software specialists. Everyone looks at the same system from a different angle, and that's where the magic happens.

And then there's the international aspect. You regularly coordinate with production locations in Asia. How will your design be built there? Where can it be more efficient? Sometimes you board the plane yourself to see it with your own eyes.

Meanwhile, you work on improving existing installations. Because what was good yesterday can always be better tomorrow.

• Optimization: You continuously work on cost reduction and improvement of existing designs.
• Standardization: You build and maintain technical libraries and ensure consistent solutions.
