We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to enhance our Energy Solutions division, the fastest‑growing area of our company. If you thrive on helping clients and have a solid technical foundation, this role will allow you to lead from conception to completion in performance contracting initiatives. Engineers with a strong background in HVAC design and commissioning will find a seamless transition into our team.
As a Senior Engineer, you will oversee all aspects of performance contracts, serving as the key point of contact throughout each phase. Your role encompasses technical leadership and the vital task of building client relationships and identifying new opportunities to contribute to CMTA's growth.
Responsibilities
- Introduce performance contracting to potential clients, showcasing the long‑term value of CMTA's solutions.
- Articulate CMTA's unique approach to performance contracting, emphasizing our technical and financial advantages.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships to promote repeat business and long‑term partnerships.
- Participate in business development initiatives, including client meetings, industry events, and proposals.
- Lead development phases, including site visits, audits, and energy calculations.
- Direct the engineering design team in creating high‑quality drawings and specifications.
- Oversee the bidding process to guarantee optimal quality and competitive results.
- Collaborate with clients to finalize performance contracts.
- Work with construction managers for seamless construction execution.
- Direct the commissioning process to verify performance outcomes.
- Support clients during the warranty phase as required.
- Collaborate with our Measurement & Verification (M&V) team to develop the first‑year M&V report.
- Apply knowledge of state‑specific K‑12 design‑build procurement processes in alignment with requirements.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Energy Services company or a consulting engineering/commissioning firm.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
