Head of Process

About

The Head of Process leads the regional process engineering, metallurgy, and laboratory operations functions. This role is responsible for setting technical direction, driving commercial outcomes, developing team capability, and ensuring high-quality, consistent, and profitable delivery to clients.

This is a leadership role, focused on guiding teams. The position ensures both the engineering team and lab (via the Lab Manager) are aligned, efficient, and set up for success.

Responsibilities

• Lead the process engineering and metallurgy team across test work, studies, and technical services
• Set priorities, manage workload, and ensure quality of technical deliverables
• Lead the Lab Manager, who oversees daily lab operations
• Engage with clients in technical discussions and project scoping
• Translate customer needs into clear work programs and delivery plans
• Oversee development of proposals, including scope, budget, and timelines
• Ensure proposals are technically sound and commercially viable
• Identify risks and improve consistency in pricing and delivery approach

Requirements

• Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or similar
• Strong experience in mineral processing, test work, or process engineering
• Proven leadership of technical or laboratory teams
• Experience in client-facing roles and proposal development
