Senior Mobile App Developer (Remote)

Experteer Overview You will own and enhance our mobile apps for Bible Gateway and Jesus Calling, focusing on stability, performance, and feature delivery. Working with a small, cross-functional team, you’ll implement roadmapped features, coordinate releases, and ensure quality across iOS and Android. You’ll stay current with platform updates and accessibility considerations, shaping engaging user experiences for a global audience. This remote role offers meaningful work at scale and opportunities to influence product direction and technical choices.

Rémunérations / Avantages • Manage and improve existing codebases to boost quality and stability • Implement features from internal roadmaps in React Native/Expo with occasional native debugging • Coordinate with project manager and a small team of internal and contract developers • Assist with submission and release processes across Apple, Google, and Amazon app stores • Release app updates on a monthly cadence • Collaborate with designers for consistent UX across devices • Follow QA/security processes and use error-tracking to fix issues pre/post release • Participate in code reviews • Stay updated with mobile tech trends and app store requirements

Responsabilités • 3-5 years of experience with React Native • Experience with React Native, Expo; in-app purchases/subscriptions • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript • Knowledge of Swift/Objective-C/Kotlin/Java for limited native code • Experience with Android and iOS platforms • State management experience (Redux, Sagas) • Familiarity with Jira, Figma, Firebase; analytics and crash reporting • Agile software development experience • Portfolio or track record of app delivery (preferred) • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
