My client is seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator to take responsibility for the stability, security, and performance of their core IT infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the go‑to technical expert and takes pride in building resilient, well‑run systems.

You’ll work across networking, servers, and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations while strengthening business continuity through security, backups, and recovery processes. The environment values accountability, initiative, and practical problem‑solving over red tape.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in IT administration / network administration
• Strong hands‑on networking experience:
  • Routing, switching, VPNs, MikroTik
  • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols
• Server administration experience including:
  • Active Directory
  • File & share permissions
  • Windows Server 2022
• Microsoft 365 environment exposure:
  • Exchange
  • Azure Active Directory
• Solid understanding of:
  • Network security
  • Business continuity, backups, and disaster recovery
  • Hardware and software solutions (including VoIP)
• Strong problem‑solving ability and communication skills
• Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities
• Ownership mindset with a strong internal customer service focus

Qualification

• Diploma in IT Systems Administration (NQF Level 4/5)
• A+ / N+
• Microsoft certification / MCITP
• Network Security+
