Our client, a prominent player in the telecommunications sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join their team. This critical role will involve the design, implementation, operation, and optimization of sophisticated network infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on 5G technologies. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our client's network, supporting the delivery of cutting-edge mobile communication services.

Responsibilities

• Configuring and maintaining core network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Developing and implementing network security protocols
• Performing network performance monitoring and tuning
• Troubleshooting complex network issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and service disruptions
• Designing and deploying new network services, including the integration of 5G components
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including system administrators and software developers, to ensure seamless integration of network services with other IT systems
• Capacity planning, network upgrades, and the evaluation of new networking technologies

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in network engineering, with specific expertise in telecommunications networks and a strong understanding of 5G architecture, protocols (e.g., NR, SA/NSA), and technologies is required.
• Proven experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, and network security principles is essential.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication and teamwork abilities, are necessary.
• This position requires hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and a solid understanding of network virtualization and SDN concepts.
