Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join their globally distributed, remote-first team. This position is critical in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure network infrastructure that supports a rapidly growing international business. You will be instrumental in ensuring the high availability and optimal performance of our client's network across all operational locations. This role demands a deep understanding of complex network topologies, protocols, and cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level networks, including LAN, WAN, and wireless environments. Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls. Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and low latency. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a timely manner, often under pressure. Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and support their network requirements. Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and solutions to enhance infrastructure capabilities. Participate in capacity planning and network lifecycle management. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging network technologies. This role is fully remote, requiring excellent self-management, communication, and collaboration skills. The ideal candidate must be proficient in using virtual collaboration tools and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; advanced certifications (e.g., CCIE, CCNP) are highly desirable. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in network engineering is essential. Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, cloud networking (AWS, Azure), and network security is mandatory. Experience with network automation and scripting is a significant plus.
