Senior Network Engineer - Team Lead (m/w/d)

Role

In this role, you will take technical leadership of network technology and infrastructure, leveraging your in-depth knowledge of operating enterprise networks.

You will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and further development of the network architecture throughout its entire lifecycle, ensuring stable, secure, and performant core, WAN, datacenter, and campus services. You will lead projects in the network area, coordinate internal and external employees, and ensure efficient provider and supplier management. You will also conduct risk analyses, identify vulnerabilities, and define suitable countermeasures to continuously improve network security.

Additionally, you will maintain operational documentation, train colleagues, and support budget planning within your area of responsibility.

Responsibility

• Leadership and further development of a network & security team, including coaching and knowledge transfer
• Design and implementation of modern network architectures (Core, WAN, Datacenter, Campus)
• End-to-end responsibility for the operation, stability, and security of the infrastructure, including risk analyses
• Management of partners, budget planning, and ensuring efficient operational and service processes

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in enterprise networking and security, as well as in complex infrastructure environments
• Leadership competence with a strong sense of responsibility and decisiveness
• Sound technical education with relevant certifications (Professional/Expert-Level)
• Analytical mindset, high solution orientation, and very good communication skills (German/English)
