Senior Nutanix Engineer (NC2 on Azure)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Nutanix Engineer with strong expertise in Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) on Azure . The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end deployment, configuration, and management of Nutanix environments, along with leading enterprise-scale migrations from on-premises to Nutanix.

This role requires deep knowledge of hybrid cloud architecture, networking, and security , ensuring seamless integration between Nutanix, Azure, and on-prem environments.

Key Responsibilities

Nutanix Deployment & Administration

• Deploy and configure Nutanix clusters including full initialization and setup.
• Provision and manage compute, storage, and disk configurations .
• Perform cluster expansion (scale-out) and lifecycle management.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, and capacity using Nutanix Prism .

Networking & Hybrid Connectivity

• Configure Nutanix networking (VLANs, subnets, IP addressing, virtual networks).
• Design and implement hybrid connectivity between Nutanix, Azure, and on-prem:
  • VPN / ExpressRoute
  • BGP routing
• Manage Azure networking components :
  • VNets, NSGs, UDRs, and firewall routing
• Ensure secure communication via whitelisting and access control policies.

Security & Microsegmentation

• Implement Nutanix Flow / Flow Gateway for:
  • Microsegmentation
  • East-West traffic control
  • Traffic inspection
• Align deployments with enterprise security standards and best practices.

Migration & Workload Transformation

• Plan and execute end-to-end migration strategies from on-prem to Nutanix.
• Perform application discovery & dependency mapping .
• Execute migrations using:
  • Nutanix Move
  • P2V and V2V tools
• Handle migrations across:
  • Windows Server
  • Linux distributions
