Pinchin is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Occupational Health & Safety team in Richmond. The role reports to the Operations Manager. This is an existing role.
Department Overview
Pinchin’s Occupational Health & Safety Consulting Division delivers practical, science‑based solutions to help clients manage workplace health risks and meet regulatory requirements. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, the team provides technical expertise, project leadership, and client‑focused consulting services while supporting staff development and the continued growth of the OH&S practice.
We also recognize that consulting can sometimes carry a reputation for long hours and limited flexibility — that’s not how we operate. Our team works in a hybrid environment, with flexibility to work from home when project demands allow. We support flexible working hours wherever possible, and when overtime is required, we aim to provide options for paid overtime or time in lieu. Our goal is to create a sustainable, supportive environment that allows our team to deliver high-quality work while maintaining strong work-life balance.
Your Impact
- Manage occupational health and safety and industrial hygiene projects, which includes budget creation and adherence, time management, cost tracking, scope of work definition, proposal preparation and presentation, and report and invoice preparation
- Mentor and supervise junior and intermediate level staff
- Coordinate group resources, including employee allocation, vacation scheduling etc.
- Oversee the preparation of contract documents to Pinchin standards
- Coordinate work and client contracts with other groups within the company
- Review technical reports
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory body representatives
- Participate in quality control initiatives
What You’ll Bring to Pinchin
This is not a role where you will be trained from the ground up. We’re looking for someone who brings strong consulting experience and can independently manage projects, people, and client relationships from day one.
You’ll learn Pinchin’s systems and approach — but you’ll be trusted to lead.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in the occupational health and safety preferred. Related fields are also acceptable.
- Professional designation preferred (CIH, ROH, CRSP and/or CSP)
- 5-10 years of related experience
- Experience with managing employees and maintaining client relationships
- Strong technical expertise, particularly with respect to providing solutions in Occupational Health and Safety matters
- Strong problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Effective planning and prioritizing skills to meet organizational and divisional goals
- Ability to leverage technological advancements in safety and hygiene to provide sound health and safety solutions for our Clients
