Role Description

The Senior Performance Media Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Somerset West. In this role, you will plan, execute, and optimize high-impact performance media campaigns to achieve key business objectives. This includes overseeing paid digital media strategies, analyzing performance metrics, identifying improvement opportunities, and developing both short- and long-term media plans.

A core part of this role is operating at the frontier of AI-assisted performance media. You will leverage Claude and other AI agents in your day-to-day workflow, design and refine agent-driven processes for campaign analysis, reporting, and optimization, and work with MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to connect agents to ad platforms, analytics tools, and data sources. We are looking for someone who treats AI agents as a force multiplier — not a novelty — and is excited to help shape how our agency embeds them across our performance media practice.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with teams across creative, strategy, and technology to drive measurable results and enhance client satisfaction. This role also offers a clear growth trajectory toward our Senior Management Team for a candidate who demonstrates the leadership, commercial acumen, and strategic ambition to step up.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Paid Search, Social Media Advertising, Display, and Video Campaigns
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and other key platforms
  • Experience in audience segmentation, targeting strategies, and A/B testing
  • Proficiency in campaign performance tracking, reporting, and budget management
  • Demonstrated fluency working with AI agents (Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent) as part of a daily performance media workflow — beyond casual or one-off use
  • Working understanding of MCP servers and how they connect AI agents to ad platforms, analytics tools, CRMs, and other data sources; hands-on experience building or configuring MCP integrations is a strong advantage
  • A clear point of view on how AI agents can be applied to performance media tasks such as audience analysis, creative iteration, bid management, pacing, and reporting
  • Comfortable being technical without being an engineer — able to specify, prompt, and iterate on agent-driven workflows in collaboration with technology teams
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Creative and Strategy departments
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Familiarity with programmatic advertising tools and CRM platforms is a plus
  • Ambition and readiness to grow into a Senior Management Team role within 12–24 months
