Im Team Conrad Big Data entwickeln und betreiben wir eine Plattform, die als Basis für Datenaustausch, Berichte, Analyse und KI dient. Schlagwörter wie performant, skalierbar, zentraler Datenspeicher, unternehmensweit einsetzbar, Daten für interne und externe Apps bereitstellen, Self-Service, usw. treiben uns Tag für Tag an. Your Contribution to Success

• Platform & Service Development: You actively conceptualize and develop central microservices, tools, and shared libraries (with Java/Spring Boot) that form the backbone of our platform.
• Infrastructure & Automation (IaC & CI/CD): You are responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Infrastructure as Code (IaC) foundation (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines. You ensure that developers can deploy their microservices (Java, Vue.js) at the push of a button.
• Operations & Reliability (SRE): You ensure the stable and secure operation of core systems, especially our Kubernetes (GKE) clusters and Apache Kafka systems. You define and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and develop concepts for alerting and disaster recovery.
• Architecture Consulting: You proactively advise application teams on microservice design and ensure that new applications meet platform standards (security, scalability, testability).
• Mentoring & Culture: As a technical role model, you share your knowledge in both backend development and cloud operations, fostering a culture of shared responsibility.

Your Success Factors

• At least 5 years of solid professional experience in software development, ideally with a clear focus on DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• Practical experience in operating and scaling event-streaming platforms (Apache Kafka).
• Excellent knowledge in backend development, preferably with Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Excellent knowledge in container orchestration with Kubernetes (K8s) and containerization with Docker.
• Strong expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., with GitLab CI, Jenkins, Cloud Build).
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ideally with Terraform.
• Strong analytical skills and a "You build it, you run it" mentality.
• Good to very good English skills (spoken and written); German skills are an advantage.
