About

The Senior Platform Manager, Digital Experience Applications, is responsible for the lifecycle management and continuous innovation of ACOG’s web and mobile applications. This role serves as the platform manager, ensuring applications are stable, scalable, secure, and optimized to support ACOG’s digital experience ecosystem.

The position partners closely with IT, vendors, and cross-functional business teams to ensure platform capabilities align with organizational needs while partnering with business product managers to translate business priorities into a technical platform roadmap and ensure successful delivery.

Note: This position is considered Hybrid and will need to commute to ACOG's office located in Washington, D.C.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Maintain a multi-year platform roadmap for all web and mobile applications (except for CMS)
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct platform assessments, competitive scans, and technology evaluations to identify modernization and innovation opportunities.
  • Build business cases for technical enhancements, integrations, and platform investments.
  • Ensure all platform decisions align with ACOG’s Digital Experience Framework, enterprise architecture, and data governance standards.
  • Own the full platform lifecycle which includes but not limited to planning, development, testing, release, optimization, and retirement of features.
  • Manage versioning, upgrades, patches, and technical dependencies.
  • Oversee platform performance, uptime, reliability, and scalability.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, integration maps, and release notes.
  • Serve as the primary platform manager for all users that use web and mobile applications.
  • Coordinate technical integrations with internal systems, APIs, SSO, analytics tools, and data pipelines.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with Membership, Products, Marketing, IT, and other business units.
  • Oversee QA processes, including test planning, regression testing, and validation of new features.
  • Ensure accessibility, security, and compliance standards are met.
  • Partner with data teams to ensure platforms support behavioral, operational, and performance analytics.
  • Use platform data to identify technical improvements and optimization opportunities.
  • Ensure that tagging, tracking, and data flows are implemented correctly.
  • Support enterprise SEO, AEO, and GEO technical requirements as they relate to platform architecture.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with Membership, Products, Marketing, and other business units to ensure platform capabilities support their operational and strategic needs.
  • Partner with business teams to understand workflows, pain points, and future requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT on architecture, security, integrations, and infrastructure planning.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams to support platform adoption and operational readiness.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong platform management skills with experience owning SaaS platforms and mobile applications.
  • Ability to write detailed technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and mobile frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and analytical skills.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, digital product management, or experience equivalent to degree.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience managing digital platforms, mobile applications, and technical integrations.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with IT and business teams.

Salary Range

$85,000 USD - $95,000 USD
