What You Will Do

Join the dynamic SaaS Continuity Engineering team, where you will play a vital role in designing and building systems that ensure Oracle delivers unparalleled availability and performance for its SaaS services. Our team focuses on high-availability and service continuity solutions, spanning infrastructure, database, platform, and application services, along with all interconnected components. You will spearhead the development of cutting-edge service continuity solutions in a fast-paced and innovative setting, ensuring our SaaS services maintain exceptional availability and resiliency. Collaborating with various engineering teams, you will help architect and implement services within a distributed computing environment. Your technical prowess will drive the architectural vision of our service continuity solutions, impact product strategy, and develop next-generation availability and resiliency features for Oracle's SaaS cloud environment.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • MS/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 10+ years of experience in system/application architecture/design along with expertise in database, infrastructure, and networking.
  • 6+ years of software development experience within a distributed cloud engineering environment.
  • In-depth technical knowledge and strong experience in SaaS or PaaS engineering.
  • Experience in building large-scale applications and services.
  • Proficient development experience in Java, C++, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
  • Hands-on experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and other cloud-native components.
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation development.
  • Proven experience in developing resilient and fault-tolerant systems.
  • Excellent collaboration with multiple engineering teams across organizations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle).
  • Understanding distributed computing and cloud-based platforms.
  • Familiarity with cross-functional platform feature areas in cloud platforms.
  • Experience and knowledge of cloud infrastructure services, regions, and multi-AD designs.
  • Strong customer and executive communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a team environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Oracle provides a competitive salary range for this role: from $96,800 to $251,600 per year, along with eligibility for bonuses, equity, and compensation deferral.
