About the role
About
As a senior technical authority in R&D, you own the PMIC architecture and drive high-performance power-management solutions. You will design and validate analog and power blocks, shaping the system from concept to silicon bring-up. You collaborate across functions to ensure robust, scalable PMICs and guide the long-term roadmap. This role offers high impact in advancing sensor technology and enabling smarter devices.
Benefits
- Architectural ownership of the PMIC system after concept phase
- Hands-on design of complex analog and power blocks (LDOs, switching regulators, high-voltage/current devices)
- Define top and high-level specifications within system constraints
- Expert-level simulation and system-level verification
- Guide layout for power-critical blocks (parasitics, IR drop, ESD, isolation)
- Involvement in silicon bring-up and root-cause analysis
- Lead design reviews and act as design authority in analog and power communities
- Cross-functional collaboration with design, layout, verification, test, product engineering, tech development and foundry interfaces
- Contribute to IP reuse strategies, design quality standards, and PMIC roadmap
- Provide effort estimation for project planning
- Mentoring and coaching of junior and senior engineers
Responsibilities
- 12+ years of experience in analog / mixed signal IC design with focus on PMICs
- Proven expertise in power-related analog design: LDOs, DC-DC converters, control loops
- Experience with high voltage / high current devices in BCD processes
- Knowledge of analog building blocks (op amps, references, biasing, POR, protection)
- Solid understanding of stability, loop compensation, transient behavior, startup and fault scenarios
- Layout aware design, power integrity, thermal aspects and reliability
- Track record of successful silicon releases and production support
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex multidisciplinary problems
- Excellent communication skills; fluent English; German advantageous
