Senior Principal Hardware Project Manager

As a Senior Principal Hardware Project Manager at Renesas, you will play a crucial role in managing the hardware development of SOC/MCU from concept to mass production. Your responsibilities will include:

- Developing project development planning, scheduling, and costing for R&D. - Ensuring and managing project KPIs. - Resolving cross-functional gaps and handoffs. - Identifying opportunities to improve Gross Margin. - Proactively identifying and mitigating risks. - Ensuring timely availability of deliverables such as IP or design collaterals. - Facilitating clear communication upwards and within the team. - Identifying opportunities for process improvements. - Sharing best practices with other project managers.

Your key responsibilities will involve:

- Leading and managing complex SoC hardware projects from concept to production. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. - Developing detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. - Tracking progress against milestones. - Identifying and mitigating project risks. - Resolving issues that arise during the project lifecycle. - Communicating project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders. - Driving continuous improvement in project management processes. - Mentoring and guiding junior project managers and team members.

Qualifications required for this role:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. - 12+ years of experience in hardware project management with a focus on SoC/MCU development. - Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex hardware projects. - Strong understanding of SoC architecture, design, and verification processes. - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
