About the Role

As a Senior. Principal Platform IAC Engineer, you will be leading a small technical team and supporting the development and maintenance of our modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution in our environment. These environments, a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, provide the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large Project producing a critical, strategic national asset. This will include a mixture of hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control.

The Senior Principal Platform IAC Engineer will be well versed in maintaining COTS/FOSS products and use of tools such as LDAP, RHEL, Tenable, Consul, Ansible, Terraform to implement and support the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution for our programs.

Note This position is based in Aurora CO. and work will be performed at the onsite Facility requiring occasional travel to the customer site for upgrade and implementation activities as necessary.

What You Will Do

  • You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of IAC solutions
  • You will lead a small team of engineers that develop software customization and automation including deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program needs utilizing Ansible Playbooks
  • You will lead the integration of the selected platform Container development and orchestration (E.g. Kubernetes/Docker)
  • You will lead the design/architecture/development and support of build/test pipeline and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability across on premise or virtualized / Cloud based computing environments
  • You will assist engineers with specialized tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices towards the solution

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and a minimum10 years of related work experience
  • Experience with Integration, Cloud, Kubernetes, Containerization, Infrastructure/Platform as a Service, Linux Development, Microservices
  • Experience with Linux System Administration (E.g. RHEL 6.0+)
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe)
  • A current TS/SCI Security Clearance is required on day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience with application deployments to Kubernetes
  • Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite, Cucumber, Eclipse, GIT
  • Experience with Implementing Scaled Agile Frameworks
  • Experience with Ansible automation frameworks
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira / Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Artifactory)
  • Experience with programming languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go)
  • Experience with Postgres, SonarQube
  • General working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization
  • Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration
  • Current CompTIA Security+ or ability to obtain

This position requires security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
