Join Acxiom's innovative Data & AI Consulting practice as a Senior Principal Solution Architect! We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on leader to guide our enterprise-scale marketing transformation initiatives, focusing on developing contemporary marketing data platforms that empower campaign execution and optimize customer data for actionable insights.

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the design and execution of comprehensive marketing data ecosystems. This includes overseeing data ingestion, modeling identity-aware customer profiles, orchestrating campaigns, and establishing measurement practices. You will create robust data foundations using platforms like Snowflake and Databricks, ensuring that data is strategically utilized for both business intelligence and AI-driven applications.

Unlike traditional enterprise architecture positions, this role demands an in-depth understanding of the marketing domain, including campaign execution, audience targeting, suppression logic, and measurement frameworks. You will leverage this expertise to develop practical and deployable architectures.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders, bridging the gap between business objectives and technical feasibility, to guide implementation while driving results in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities • Engagement & Solution Leadership: Lead architecture throughout the platform lifecycle by collaborating with strategic leads to convert business goals into actionable technical architectures and roadmaps. • Facilitate client workshops to gather requirements focused on campaign workflows and operational dependencies, customer data models, and identity-aware audience frameworks. • Advise on the technical feasibility of business use cases and provide practical alternatives when necessary.

Marketing Data Architecture & Modeling: • Design comprehensive marketing data architecture, covering data ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers. • Develop customer and campaign data models as well as metadata frameworks. • Establish data grains, conformance logic, KPI aggregation strategies, source-to-target mappings, and field definitions, ensuring scalability and clarity in data structures.

Platform & Integration Architecture:

Define solution blueprints incorporating: • Cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift). • Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and related activation tools. • Design integrations with CRM, campaign, and media data systems.

Implementation & Delivery Leadership: • Oversee architecture through build and deployment, ensuring designs are effectively transitioned into production-ready solutions. • Manage data pipelines and validate models, establishing rigorous QA, validation, and reconciliation processes. • Guide technical decision-making while addressing challenges and ensuring timely and effective delivery of milestones.

Marketing Enablement & Measurement: • Ensure designs support various campaign execution workflows and audience targeting strategies. • Create measurement frameworks that assess attribution and lift. • Develop data structures accommodating business intelligence and AI/ML use cases.

Practice Leadership & Growth: • Contribute to the practice by developing reusable architecture patterns and best practice standards. • Assist in pre-sales by defining solution strategies and estimating effort. • Mentor and support junior architects and engineers.

What You Will Bring: • A minimum of 8 years in solution or data architecture, with a special focus on marketing and customer data solutions. • Proven track record of delivering end-to-end solutions. • Deep knowledge of marketing data ecosystems, cloud data platforms, and SQL-heavy data modeling. • Understanding of campaign management, audience targeting, and measurement frameworks. • Experience with identity resolution and customer data frameworks, alongside knowledge of data governance and privacy considerations.
