About

Join a team that is shaping the future of flight deck products. Within Connected Aviation (CA) Engineering, the Flight Deck & Tech Ops team has end-to-end responsibility for developing a variety of software services that optimize airline operations, simplify flight deck experience for pilots, and provide robust security solutions for flight crew members.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will play a highly visible role in leading development of the flagship FlightHub product as we expand our customer base and realize our product roadmap. FlightHub delivers real-time flight data, predictive insights, and operational optimization tools to airlines and flight crews. It integrates data from aircraft, dispatch, and ground systems to provide a unified operating picture that improves situational awareness, reduces operational disruptions, and enhances decision making across the flight lifecycle.

If you thrive at the intersection of technology, leadership, and delivery - and want to help drive strategic execution in a cutting-edge aerospace environment - this role is for you.

  • Support vendor and contractor oversight, ensuring alignment with program objectives and performance expectations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, helping strengthen program management standards and execution across the Aviation Intelligence portfolio.

  • Strong knowledge of project and program management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with executive-level communication, partnering with senior leadership across engineering, digital technology, and product teams.
  • Experience working in Agile environments (SAFe) and tools (Jira).

  • Understanding software engineering best practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD frameworks and DevOps/DevSecOps toolchains.
  • Proven communication and presentation skills with ability to influence leadership.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business planning capability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in Agile frameworks.
  • Project Management certifications (PMP, Agile, SAFe).
  • Technical knowledge of flight deck workflows, pilot decision making, dispatch operations, and airline operations.
  • Understanding of aviation weather products (TAFs, METARs, SIGMETs, turbulence models), aircraft trajectory prediction, and flight planning processes.
  • Experience with data formats and protocols commonly used in Aviation (ARINC 633, ARINC 834, XML/JSON based airline data exchanges).
  • Knowledge of aviation cybersecurity standards and secure data exchange requirements, including implementation and oversight of secure development practices such as SAST, DAST, and identity management best practices for flight crew facing applications.
  • Experience managing AWS hosted software solutions.
  • Experience with AWS Services (ECR, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.).
  • Exposure to Neural Networks and Machine Learning Concepts.
  • Aerospace industry experience; familiarity with Connected Aviation or broader Collins Aerospace products.
