About the role

Introduction

Are you a driven and solutions-oriented Processing / Commissioning Engineer ready to take the lead on exciting water treatment and turnkey projects? Join a forward-thinking engineering team that prides itself on technical excellence, collaboration, and delivering world-class results.

In this role, you’ll be the key link between design and delivery — ensuring that every process, system, and component functions at peak performance. If you’re motivated by innovation, problem-solving, and hands-on technical work, this opportunity is for you.

Role Responsibilities

  • Translate and implement client requirements and project specifications effectively.
  • Represent the company in meetings with vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Collaborate across mechanical, civil, electrical, control systems, and draughting teams.
  • Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and evaluations for equipment tenders and purchase orders.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of vendor proposals and liaise for clarifications.
  • Coordinate with external consultants and suppliers to meet project needs.
  • Assist with commissioning planning and documentation — including test procedures, commissioning plans, and operating manuals.
  • Oversee on-site verification, pre-commissioning, cold/hot commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform performance testing and compile detailed reports.
  • Deliver operator training and develop training manuals.
  • Participate in punch walks with clients and cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Drive problem-solving initiatives both on-site and in-office.
  • Ensure company standards, procedures, and systems are implemented and maintained.
  • Produce technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Attend trade fairs, technical seminars, and training relevant to your role.
  • Support the Project Manager and perform related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • A B.Sc or B.Eng in Chemical Engineering (essential).
  • 5–10 years’ experience as a Process or Commissioning Engineer in water treatment, turnkey projects, or a related industry.
  • ECSA Candidate Engineer registration (advantageous).
  • Strong communication, organization, and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work across multiple disciplines.
