Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their team in Zaria, Kaduna, NG. This role is critical for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving operational efficiency within their industrial facility. The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative process improvements, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will play a key role in enhancing manufacturing capabilities, reducing waste, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in industrial engineering principles, statistical process control, and project management, with a proven ability to translate complex technical challenges into practical, effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Design, develop, and implement new processes or modify existing ones to meet production goals and product specifications.
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor and maintain process stability and capability.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and flowcharts.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for production-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure successful scale-up and implementation of new products and processes.
• Conduct process capability studies and validation protocols.
• Manage process improvement projects from conception through implementation, including defining scope, timelines, and resources.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Train production staff on new or modified processes and provide ongoing technical support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of process design, optimization, and control methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC).
• Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Experience with relevant manufacturing technologies and equipment.

This role requires working on-site at our facility in Zaria, Kaduna, NG.
