Our client, a leader in advanced manufacturing and supply chain solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Optimization Engineer to join their dynamic, fully remote team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall productivity of our industrial operations across various divisions. You will leverage your deep understanding of engineering principles and statistical analysis to identify bottlenecks, propose innovative solutions, and implement data-driven improvements.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive analyses of existing manufacturing processes, workflows, and operational data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction. Develop and implement advanced process optimization strategies, including lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma methodologies, and simulation modeling. Design and oversee the execution of pilot projects to test and validate proposed process changes before full-scale implementation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and R&D, to ensure seamless integration of optimized processes. Utilize statistical software and data visualization tools to analyze performance metrics, track progress, and report findings to senior management. Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all process improvements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices. Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff in the application of process improvement tools and techniques. Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in industrial engineering and process optimization. Contribute to the development of long-term strategic goals related to operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the optimization process. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, or operations management, preferably in a remote or distributed team environment. Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements that have resulted in significant cost savings and efficiency gains. Strong expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred), and statistical process control (SPC). Proficiency in process modeling and simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, R, Python). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is advantageous. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Nigeria.
