(Senior) Procurement Data Analyst

For a successful German client, a German Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Management Consulting firm from Munich, we are recruiting a (Senior) Procurement Data Analyst.

Role Details

• Office: Rosebank, Johannesburg (Hybrid)
• Employment Type: Full-Time

We are looking for detail-oriented professionals with 1–3 years of experience in procurement, project data analytics, or technical data support to join a growing team working on procurement data and AI-driven procurement support projects.

This role is ideal for candidates who combine strong analytical thinking with a structured approach to data quality, classification, and technical procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Review procurement booking texts and transaction records within a digital system
• Classify and assign procurement/material data accurately using UNSPSC or similar taxonomy/coding structures
• Maintain and enrich technical and procurement-related attributes within the system
• Support procurement data quality, standardisation, and master data management initiatives
• Work with large and unstructured procurement data sets
• Engage directly with customers and stakeholders where required
• Support procurement AI tool implementation and data support activities

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in procurement, procurement analytics, technical data support, or related fields
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Understanding of procurement processes and purchasing-related data
• Experience with taxonomy/coding standards such as UNSPSC or similar classification systems
• Exposure to master data management or material master classification
• Basic technical understanding of product/material attributes (dimensions, material types, specifications, etc.)
• Strong organisational and analytical skills
• Comfortable working in digital systems and structured data environments

This is not a software development or programming role. The focus is on procurement data analysis, procurement AI support projects, technical classification, and structured data management.
