As a member of the Global Technology and Kennametal team, you will be responsible for the independent planning and execution of projects and will delegate responsibilities accordingly for their completion. A focus is placed on digital manufacturing solutions in the context of CAD/CAM and process monitoring, as well as other digital offerings and solutions. You will work on the development of new solutions for various industries and applications by using software to make our machining knowledge available to many users and to increase our market share. Solution development takes place in close cooperation with our development laboratories and CAD/CAM experts. The role includes collaboration with internal stakeholders in sales, marketing, and manufacturing, as well as collaboration with external customers and partner companies.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, ideally with experience. A Master's degree or PhD is advantageous but not required.
• Knowledge of agile methods as well as 3D modeling and CAM programming.
• Knowledge of process monitoring systems and connection to machine tools including sensor technology and software.
• Programming skills in C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Python, or equivalent languages are desirable.
• Knowledge and experience in manufacturing, machine technology, and knowledge of cutting tools is desirable.
• Experience and skills in laboratory testing and experimental analysis to evaluate technical solutions.
• Ability to apply statistical and other mathematical tools, Design of Experiments, etc.
• Project and team leadership skills.
• Communication skills in English and German.
• Candidates from EU countries willing to relocate will be considered.
• Willingness to travel mainly in Germany, but also worldwide (up to 25%).
