As the Senior Product Design Lead - Renewal, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the renewal experience for our members, which is essential for their health management and Humana’s success. An efficient renewal journey ensures that members can maintain their coverage effortlessly, reduces confusion, and fosters confident decision-making. For Humana, a remarkable renewal experience directly contributes to member retention, improves STAR ratings, and minimizes operational costs. Your design expertise and strategic vision will significantly impact these critical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and steer the comprehensive design strategy for Humana's member renewal experience, ensuring a user-centric approach that aligns with our business goals.
  • Work with product, engineering, marketing, and analytics teams to create and implement innovative solutions that simplify and enhance the renewal process.
  • Drive user research and data-driven insights to guide design choices and assess their effectiveness.
  • Champion accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring best practices are implemented across all renewal touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with the Plan Shopping team to maintain a seamless and consistent user experience throughout the member journey.
  • Present design concepts and strategies to senior leadership, articulating the reasoning and value effectively.
  • Encourage a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the design team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years in product design, backed by a portfolio showcasing impactful digital solutions.
  • At least 3 years of experience in coaching and mentoring fellow designers.
  • A portfolio demonstrating experience in crafting complex user journeys, specifically within healthcare, insurance, or similar sectors.
  • Deep expertise in user-centered design processes, interaction design, visual design, and service design.
  • Strong command of design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe CC).
  • Experience with user research methodologies and the ability to translate insights into actionable design solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to balance strategic vision with hands-on design work and mentorship.
  • Solid business acumen with a proven ability to link design outcomes to measurable business results, such as enhanced conversion rates and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries.
  • Proven ability to create inclusive and accessible designs, particularly for senior adults.
  • Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Contributions to design systems or pattern libraries are an advantage.

Travel

This is a remote position; however, occasional travel to Humana's offices may be necessary for training or meetings.

Compensation Range

The pay range below is a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay may vary based on geographic location and individual experience.

$104,000 - $143,000 per year.

This position is also eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
