Senior Product Designer

About

A senior product design role within a dedicated team focused on exploring and testing new product ideas and customer propositions. This role is centred around early stage product work, including prototypes, experiments and proof of concepts, helping the business identify which ideas should move forward into full product development.

You’ll work closely with product and engineering in a small, fast moving team, focusing on learning, testing and shaping new opportunities rather than delivering polished features for an existing product area.

This is an early stage product design role focused on prototypes, experiments and proof of concepts rather than polished feature delivery.

This will include:

• Turning early stage ideas into clear product concepts and testable propositions
• Designing prototypes, experiments and proof of concepts to test new ideas quickly
• Working across different levels of fidelity, from low fidelity concepts to functional prototypes
• Helping the team learn quickly what works, what doesn’t and what should move forward

Prototyping and Experiments

A key part of the role is helping the team test ideas quickly and generate meaningful learning.

This may include:

• Prototypes to test new product ideas
• Fake door tests and concept validation
• Low fidelity flows to test customer understanding
• Functional proof of concepts with engineers
• Using AI tools, prototyping tools or low code tools to test ideas quickly

Working Style

You’ll work very closely with product and engineering and be part of a small team focused on speed, learning and experimentation rather than long delivery cycles.

You’ll need to be comfortable:

• Working in ambiguity and helping define the problem before designing solutions
• Moving quickly and iterating based on learning
• Making pragmatic trade offs between speed and polish
• Sharing work early and using design to align teams and stakeholders

Stakeholder Collaboration

You’ll work with teams across the business to make sure ideas are feasible and worth testing.

• Commercial teams

Background

We’re open on background, but this would likely suit someone who:

• Has strong end to end product design experience
• Has worked on early stage products, MVPs, prototypes or new product ideas
• Is comfortable working in ambiguity and shaping ideas from loose concepts
• Enjoys experimentation and learning rather than only delivering polished UI
• Works well in small, fast moving teams
• Has strong product thinking and commercial awareness
