Meta is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of our innovative products. In this pivotal role within our design team, you will ensure that our offerings are not only valuable and easy to use but also crafted with the utmost attention to detail. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product management, engineering, data science, UX research, content design, and more—to develop exceptional products that genuinely meet user needs. Leveraging your comprehensive product design expertise, you will contribute to high-level strategic decisions and create transformational experiences for users around the globe. By prioritizing user-centric approaches and simplicity, you will be instrumental in addressing some of the world's most significant challenges.

Responsibilities

• Transform broad, conceptual ideas into valuable solutions for over 2 billion users, driving product strategy and innovation across a large organization.
• Create leading-edge concepts by designing end-to-end user flows that affect a wide user base while utilizing effective prototyping tools.
• Lead design prioritization efforts and ensure teams maintain momentum to achieve accelerated timelines.
• Develop new experiences or layouts that enhance visual systems.
• Actively communicate key strategic decisions regarding the future direction of Meta’s products.
• Engage in giving and receiving feedback from the broader product team to elevate quality standards, while also mentoring and coaching others.
• Serve as a key cross-functional lead, ensuring the success of initiatives by engaging in workstream-level operations and processes as needed.
• Influence and foster alignment on product direction across large organizations and extended cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience in a relevant area.
• 8+ years of experience in building and shipping applications or software at a company-wide scale, managing end-to-end experiences in a large-scale, ambiguous environment.
• Experience in interaction design, with a strong understanding of user needs and the ability to advocate for how experiences should behave; demonstrated use of appropriate prototyping tools to showcase interaction designs.
• Proficiency in visual design elements including typography, UI for both desktop and mobile, color theory, layout, iconography, and an eye for aesthetics that enhance product functionality.
• Strategic product thinking skills, with a proven ability to set product goals, identify global market opportunities, and make impactful decisions that consider users and the company.
• Experience in presenting work to executives, effectively communicating goals and concepts clearly and succinctly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong coding abilities.
• Experience integrating AI tools to optimize and redesign workflows, resulting in measurable outcomes like efficiency gains and quality improvements.
• Knowledge of responsible, ethical AI practices, including risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality reviews.
• Ongoing development in AI skills, including prompt and context engineering, as well as keeping current with emerging technologies in AI.

Public Compensation

The salary ranges from $201,000 to $278,000 per year, plus bonuses, equity, and benefits.
