(Senior) Product Development Manager (m/f/d)

Geretsried, Munich / Full-time / Permanent position

Your Tasks

• You are responsible for the development of our frozen pizzas – from prototype to series production, while adhering to all relevant customer requirements and quality standards
• Your area of responsibility includes the structuring, implementation, and documentation of your own projects as well as the proactive identification of next steps
• You plan, organize, and document internal and external tastings
• You also support projects for product and process optimization with your technical expertise and actively assist with raw material and supplier changes
• You are responsible for the complete, correct, and transparent documentation regarding our conducted projects, trials, and tastings
• You are enthusiastic about the latest trends and technologies and continuously research innovative ingredients and recipes, proactively bringing them to the team
• With your know-how, you support product-specific issues and ensure that the right machines are selected for production
• You take over the creation and maintenance of recipes, work instructions, and process instructions, thus ensuring that product development runs smoothly and in a structured manner
• You contribute creative ideas to our product development and think beyond existing concepts
• In doing so, you convincingly represent the ideas and concepts of the team to internal and external stakeholders
• Additionally, you coordinate closely with internal specialist departments such as product management, production, quality management, purchasing, and marketing, as well as external partners and suppliers

Your Profile

• Completed degree in food technology, ecotrophology, or a comparable field of study – alternatively, you have an equivalent qualification
• You already have relevant practical experience in product development in the FMCG or food sector
• You have a strong sense of trends in the food sector as well as a good feel for consumer needs and taste and are enthusiastic about high-quality food
• Furthermore, you adhere to hygiene standards and pay attention to clean documentation
• You are proficient in MS Office
• You also possess team spirit, strong communication skills, and a solution-oriented mindset
• You have excellent German language skills – ideally complemented by good English
• You are willing to travel to our plant in Thuringia approximately once a month
• A structured and independent way of working with a high degree of personal responsibility completes your profile
