Senior Product Management Specialist

About

This position functions at a Principal Product Manager level. We are seeking innovative thinkers to join our team, where we empower our product groups to tackle complex customer and business challenges in ways that delight our customers while benefiting our organization.

Our product teams are built using the SVPG Product Operating Model. This means they are cross-functional, enduring groups, typically comprising a product manager, product designer, tech lead, and program manager working collaboratively in a 4-in-a-box approach. We ensure our teams possess the necessary skills to devise effective solutions that are valuable, viable, usable, and feasible.

Role

As a product manager, you will directly influence the deliverables of the product team.

Qualifications

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• A proven track record as a product manager, focusing on solution value and viability.
• The ability to swiftly understand new domains along with a solid grasp of major business functions.
• Expertise in modern product discovery and delivery techniques.
• A keen ability to navigate and learn different functional business areas, including engineering, design, finance, sales, or marketing.
• Strong problem-solving skills, using sound judgment to assess risks and present arguments logically and data-informed.
• Experience engaging with a diverse range of individuals—from team members to executives—fostering constructive and collaborative relationships.
• Proficiency in quarterly strategic planning, defining OKRs, and roadmapping.
• Experience owning strategic initiatives and crafting persuasive product strategies.

Compensation

At Pearson, compensation reflects a range of factors, including skills, experience, and location. The minimum salary for this role ranges between $165,000 and $185,000. This position also includes eligibility for an annual incentive program. Detailed information on benefits can be provided upon request.
