Senior Product Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Product Manager to lead the development and management of innovative products within our organisation. The successful candidate will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. This role demands strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of software development methodologies including Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, and SDLC frameworks. The Senior Product Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that drive growth and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Define and develop product strategies aligned with organisational goals, utilising tools such as UML, wireframing (Balsamiq), and APIs.
• Lead requirements gathering sessions, translating business needs into clear specifications and test cases.
• Oversee product development processes, ensuring adherence to SDLC, Agile (SAFe), TFS, Jira, and project management software standards.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate product functionality against requirements.
• Manage product backlogs, prioritising features based on business value and technical feasibility.
• Collaborate with software development teams on technical aspects including Java, HTML, SQL, AWS, SaaS solutions, and Internet of Things (IoT) integrations.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders through presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel for reporting and analysis.
• Lead cross-functional teams in delivering solutions via APIs and other integration points while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Monitor industry trends such as B2B sales strategies and emerging technologies like AWS or IoT to inform product roadmaps.
• Ensure compliance with best practices in project management and software development lifecycle processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in product management within a technology-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies including Waterfall and Agile frameworks such as SAFe.
• Proficiency in project management tools like Jira, TFS, Git, and other project management software.
• Technical expertise in Java, HTML, SQL, APIs, AWS cloud services, SaaS platforms, UML modelling, wireframing (Balsamiq), and user acceptance testing.
• Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.
• Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder engagement at all levels of the organisation.
• Experience in requirements gathering, creating detailed test cases, analysing user needs, and translating them into technical specifications.
• Knowledge of B2B sales processes and familiarity with Internet of Things (IoT) applications is desirable.
