About the position

Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high‑performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini‑Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft, automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.

Mini‑Circuits sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.

Position Summary

As the Sr. Product Manager for both the High Power Amplifiers (HPAs) & Portable Test Equipment (PTE) product lines, primary responsibility (75%) is to market existing & new products to drive awareness for transactional business, capture sales synergies by cross‑DBU product lines and marketing/managing product promotions/marcom plans and all go‑to‑market plans for products to achieve revenue forecasts. Secondary responsibilities (25%) include creating and managing business and product solution strategies to deliver revenue growth, market share expansion, and diversification. Key responsibilities include defining, aligning, and executing marketing plans for product lines to drive revenue growth; defining, communicating, and overseeing Mini‑Circuits' multi‑year product and technology roadmaps and product line strategy; developing product line revenue forecasts and driving the sales organization to achieve the same.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Marketing Communications team to develop messaging and promotional activities to position products to end markets and customers.
  • Execute marketing programs in collaboration with the Marketing Communications team.
  • Drive development of new products and launch to end customers including datasheets and other marketing promotional literature/web content.
  • Work with Global Marketing Managers, Regional Sales Managers, customers, and development Team to identify market needs and translate these into specific product requirements for new product development with prioritized features, creating customer‑driven product roadmaps.
  • Maintain a SWOT analysis of the HPA & PTE markets and use it to find competitive advantages that keep Mini‑Circuits well‑positioned.
  • Support department initiatives, technology roadmap creation, and cross‑organization/sector involvement.
  • Knowledgeable regarding market trends and direction from VOC, competitive activity, and publication review.
  • Manage product pricing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or Electronic Engineering required, master’s degree preferred.
  • 8‑10 years’ experience in a multi‑disciplined engineering environment.
  • Product experience within some or all the following areas: RF Amplifiers (GaAs, GAN, others); Test equipment such as Signal Generators, Power Sensors, Mechanical/solid‑state switches, and Digital step attenuators.
  • Strong knowledge of basic RF components & technologies, a good view of the RF Test Equipment competitive landscape, and an understanding of the addressable markets and applications.
  • Experience developing product and technology roadmaps.
  • Ability to identify problems and solutions that others might miss and provide detailed insight and constructive feedback into problems and complex situations.
  • Works effectively and makes progress with limited or partial information. State assumptions and put forth a workable starting point to address the problem.
  • Defines requirements & resources needed to implement new ideals, approaching innovation with a practical, task‑oriented mindset, converting ideas into actionable plans.
