Senior Product Manager
PVcase
About the role
About the Role
We're seeking an exceptional outcomes oriented Senior Product Manager to own the strategic direction and execution of a new product — a 0-to-1 initiative in the solar project development space.
This is a product builder mindset at its core — a high-impact, high-ambiguity position for someone who thrives on building conviction from first principles and turning uncertainty into direction.
We're building a product that lets solar developers enhance and model ROI on PV projects — in minutes, not weeks. We need a PM who's done this before: built from zero, made hard calls with thin evidence, and shipped something people actually use.
What You're Walking Into
- Early-stage, high-ambiguity.
- The problem space is defined; the solution is to be further tested and experimented with.
- You'll work within PVcase's broader platform: many dependencies, common prioritization.
What You'll Own
- Shape the product from scratch. Define the problem space, validate the persona, and set the initial product strategy. You decide what to build, why and, equally, what not to.
- Run structured discovery. Design and execute customer interviews, prototype tests, and in-app experiments to validate desirability and viability before committing to build.
- Define and own the integration layer. Decide how this product ingests geospatial data, irradiance sources, and financial modeling, and more inputs — and what that means for build/buy/partner decisions.
- Embed AI where it earns its place. Identify where AI/ML accelerates user workflows meaningfully, and define the framework for when it adds value vs. adds noise.
- Own the roadmap with evidence, not opinions. Build a living, impact-oriented roadmap that reflects current confidence levels. Communicate trade-offs to stakeholders using qualitative and quantitative signals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, with meaningful experience in 0-to-1 product development - you've built a product from scratch and can speak to the decisions you made and why.
- Experience working on platform or ecosystem products - you've navigated the complexity of building for multiple interconnected products, defined shared capabilities, or managed API-first product strategies that serve both internal teams and external integrations.
- Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to develop deep domain expertise in solar energy and renewable technologies.
What Success Looks Like
- 30 days → Deep-dive on customers, competitive landscape, and platform architecture. Form a clear point of view on the target persona and core problem.
- 90 days → Structured discovery running. First customer interviews and prototype tests done. Baseline metrics defined.
- 6 months → Core assumptions validated or updated. Evidence-based decisions visible to stakeholders. Established as the strategic voice on this product.
- 1 year → First paying self-serve customers. A measurable conversion signal from feasibility-stage users. The case built — with data — for the next phase.
