- Manage cross‑team dependencies, potential risks, and critical decisions.
- Create clear service contracts and develop robust platform patterns.
Product Ownership & Execution
- Prioritize the backlog based on the value to the platform and impact on consumers.
- Draft clear and precise requirements for APIs and data services.
- Collaborate with engineering teams from the ideation stage through to launch.
Platform & Data Leadership
- Work closely with engineering on data models, schemas, and service boundaries.
- Make informed decisions regarding versioning, effective dating, and lifecycle management.
- Maintain consistency across services while allowing valid variations for consumers.
Dependency & Stakeholder Management
- Manage dependencies actively across multiple teams and services.
- Identify risks early and foster alignment without escalation.
- Clearly communicate status, tradeoffs, and impacts to senior leadership.
Documentation & Clarity
- Ensure high‑quality documentation is maintained in Confluence.
- Document decisions, their rationale, and any open questions.
- Empower downstream teams to operate independently with minimal guidance.
What Success Looks Like
- Engineering teams work with clarity and without ambiguity.
- Consumers trust and adopt the services you deliver.
- Dependencies are managed effectively and do not catch leadership off guard.
- Platform decisions are robust and sustainable over time.
- You demonstrate independence and strong judgment in your role.

- Experience in delivering APIs or data contracts utilized by various teams.
- Ability to manage cross‑team dependencies from start to finish.
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
- Comfortable making trade‑offs in complex and ambiguous situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with HR, HCM, or workforce platforms.
- Understanding of effective dating, versioned data, or temporal models.
