About the Role:

We are on the lookout for a Senior Product Manager to lead the Flink Cloud Platform within Confluent Cloud. This essential role focuses on making our Confluent Cloud for Apache Flink the go-to solution for enterprises with strict security, compliance, and operational demands.

You will take charge of product capabilities that facilitate enterprise-level adoption of Flink at scale, such as encryption options, disaster recovery, identity management, observability, and platform infrastructure. You will manage the product roadmap from conception to execution, collaborating closely with customers, engineering, design teams, and cross-functional partners.

What You Will Do:

• Manage the Flink Cloud Platform roadmap, defining and driving strategies for enterprise-grade capabilities, including data encryption, managed disaster recovery, and audit logging.
• Oversee platform-level features such as compute pool management, workspace catalog development, and integration with Confluent Cloud's infrastructure.
• Drive enterprise customer adoption by engaging with field teams and strategic clients to understand their needs and accelerate Flink adoption.
• Create clear product specifications that translate complex requirements into actionable engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams focused on security, identity, networking, and storage for seamless integration with Confluent Cloud.
• Contribute to the overarching Flink and DSP product strategy by identifying market trends, competitive insights, and opportunities.
• Monitor success through key metrics for Flink adoption, using data to inform product prioritization.
• Educate and enable sales and customer success teams to effectively position and support enterprise Flink capabilities.

What You Will Bring:

• 8+ years of product management experience in cloud infrastructure, data platforms, or distributed systems.
• A comprehensive understanding of enterprise security protocols and compliance, including encryption and key management.
• Experience with stream processing or real-time data systems, with a preference for familiarity with Apache Flink or similar technologies.
• Strong technical skills, with the ability to engage deeply with engineering teams on system design and write detailed technical specifications.
• A history of successfully launching enterprise-grade cloud products in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Excellent collaboration abilities across teams, demonstrating success in aligning and driving outcomes.
• Customer-focused mentality, adept at engaging with enterprise customers to understand their needs and translate feedback into product development.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of creating compelling documentation and presentations for varied audiences.
• Data-driven approach to decision-making, utilizing metrics to prioritize and measure success.
