About the role
Our client, a leading player in the FMCG sector, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Manager to spearhead their innovation pipeline in **Minna, Niger, NG**. This role operates on a hybrid model, allowing for a blend of strategic in-office collaboration and focused remote work. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of new product development, from ideation and market research to product launch and post-launch analysis. This involves identifying consumer needs, developing compelling product strategies, and working closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, sales, and supply chain, to bring successful products to market. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the FMCG market, consumer trends, and product development processes. You should possess excellent analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead and influence teams without direct authority. Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities; defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap based on market insights and business objectives; leading the development of new product concepts and business cases; managing the product development process from ideation through commercialization, ensuring timely and successful launches; collaborating with R&D, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment and execution of product strategies; developing and managing product pricing, positioning, and go-to-market plans; monitoring product performance, analyzing sales data, and identifying areas for improvement or line extensions; staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and consumer behavior shifts within the FMCG landscape. We require a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA is a plus. A minimum of 6 years of experience in product management, with a significant portion within the FMCG industry, is essential. Demonstrated success in launching new products and driving their market adoption is crucial. Strong analytical, strategic planning, and project management skills are a must. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Experience with market research methodologies and data analysis tools is necessary. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively is important.
